We are thrilled to announce significant milestones in our journey as pioneers of technology education in the Southeast region. Earlier, we proudly shared on our social media platforms our selection as one of the esteemed 1% Training Providers for The 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, dedicated to fostering technical talent in Abia State.
It’s with immense pride that we now share the exciting news of our recent accomplishments! On Saturday, April 27th, 2024, we celebrated the graduation of our inaugural 3MTT Cohort 1 fellows alongside the Demo Day of our Bootcamp 2023 Batch B students. It was a day filled with inspiration, innovation, and immense pride as we witnessed the culmination of hard work, dedication, and passion. We acknowledge the support of the Abia State Government through the Ministry of Digital Economy and SMEs led by the Hon. Matthew Ekwuribe.
Our 3MTT fellows delved into three distinct tracks: Data Analytics and Visualization, Product Design, and Product Management, while our Bootcamp focused on Frontend Web Development.
In the vibrant city of Aba, our 3MTT fellows embarked on a transformative journey aimed at tackling one of the city’s most pressing issues: waste management. Over 12 weeks, these talented individuals utilized their digital skills and creativity to devise innovative solutions to revolutionise how Aba handles solid waste. Teams, each comprising at least one track representative – a Product Manager overseeing development, a UI/UX (Product) Designer engaging in User Research and Design, and a Data Analyst ensuring accurate data collection and analysis – worked tirelessly to implement their projects.
The projects unveiled by our 3MTT fellows showcased a deep understanding of the issues plaguing waste management in the city and a commitment to driving sustainable change. From intuitive mobile applications empowering communities to proactive user-centric platforms, each project offered a glimpse into a future where digital innovation plays a central role in creating cleaner, healthier communities.
Concurrently, we celebrated the successful completion of our Bootcamp 2023 Batch B Frontend Web Development program. For six months, our students immersed themselves in a comprehensive curriculum covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and more. Guided by our expert instructors, they honed their skills and transformed into proficient web developers ready to make their mark in the digital landscape.
The capstone projects presented by our Bootcamp graduates exemplified their technical proficiency, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. From News & Media Channel to Health Consultation Platform and PetFinder, each project demonstrated mastery of coding languages and a deep understanding of real-world challenges and how technology can address them.
As we reflect on the achievements of our 3MTT fellows and Bootcamp graduates, we’re reminded of the transformative power of education, innovation, and community. At RAD5 Tech Hub, we remain committed to nurturing the next generation of tech leaders and driving positive change through digital empowerment.
