Demo Day of ASIR-P after a 3-month Investment Readiness Program and Supporting Businesses with Grant Funding

Notable Events and Impactful Initiatives:

  1. African Startup Investment Readiness Program (ASIR-P):  ASIR-P is a transformative initiative designed to empower African entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills needed to attract investment. This year, with funding from AfriLabs and Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD) through the Digital Africa Seed Fund, we supported 200 Abia startups with a grant amount of $2,000, and the impact has been profound.   3. Women TechMakers (WTM) Aba Breakfast: We partnered with WTM Aba to host the inaugural session of Women TechMakers ‘DevFest Breakfast’ supporting women in tech by engaging in panel discussions and tech sessions.
  4. Nigeria Jubilee Fellowship: We got selected as a host organization for the Nigeria Jubilee Fellowship hosting 4 fellows and providing them with development opportunities, that is learning on the job.
  5. RAD5 Startup Club: We continuously invested, provided support and empower innovators and entrepreneurs to build successful ventures leveraging shared resources while helping them find product and market fit.
  6. GDG DevFest Aba 2023: We co-hosted the biggest gathering of developers in the region which also had in attendance the Abia State Honourable Commissioner for Digital Economy and SME, Hon.   4. Abia Startups Investment Readiness Program (ASIR-P): This program prepares startups in Abia for potential investment. It includes training sessions, mentorship, and resources to help startups refine their business models, pitch to investors, and enhance their overall investment readiness.
  5. Google Developers Group (GDG) Aba 10th Anniversary: This event is a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Google Developers Group in Aba. It includes a series of tech talks, workshops, and networking opportunities for local developers and tech enthusiasts. The focus is to decorate the GDG Aba pioneering leaders with an impact award, showcase achievements, discuss emerging technologies, and foster a sense of community among developers
