TeenHack Holiday Bootcamp

TeenHack is RAD5 Tech Hub’s longest-running and most impactful community social initiative – an Africa Technology Learning Community designed to promote innovation, creativity, and digital confidence among children and teenagers in Aba and across Southeast Nigeria. Since its founding in 2015, TeenHack has introduced hundreds of young people to coding, robotics engineering, game programming, virtual reality, branding, and design – including an 8-year-old girl who built an animated HIV awareness app, and a 10-year-old who won the TeenHack programming challenge. TeenHack runs across three formats: a Summer Code Camp every August, a Weekend Program every Saturday, and an After-School Program Monday through Friday. Participants work in teams to build real projects that tackle genuine community challenges, and present their work on Demo Day to parents, coaches, and community leaders. The program also offers a pathway for graduates to join RAD5 Tech Hub’s broader ecosystem as interns, mentors, and junior developers. TeenHack’s vision is clear: to become the leading driver of quality technology education and reduced inequality for kids and teens across African communities – one young builder at a time.
