3MTT – 3 Million Technical Talents Programme

Check 3mtt.nitda.gov.ng for current cohort status

The 3 Million Technical Talents (3MTT) Programme is the Nigerian Federal Government’s most ambitious tech talent initiative, launched by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy under Minister Bosun Tijani. It aims to train 3 million Nigerians in 12 technical skills by 2027 – including software development, UI/UX design, data analysis and visualisation, product management, data science, AI/machine learning, cybersecurity, cloud computing, game development, quality assurance, animation, and DevOps. RAD5 Tech Hub was selected as an Applied Learning Cluster (ALC) for Phase 1 of the program – chosen from among just 1% of providers nationwide – delivering hands-on, in-person technical training to 3MTT fellows in Abia State. Through RAD5’s participation in 3MTT, fellows in Southeast Nigeria gain access to structured curricula, a physical learning environment, expert coaching, and the RAD5 community ecosystem – bridging the gap between online content and real-world competency. The program follows a hybrid learning model, combining approved online content providers with in-person applied learning sessions at certified ALCs like RAD5. 3MTT represents a defining collaboration between RAD5 and the Federal Government in building Nigeria’s future tech workforce from within its most overlooked regions.
